Bethany L. Notaro, Esquire is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA (BA, cum laude, Psychology), and the University of Pittsburgh School of Law (JD). She obtained her undergraduate degree in the field of psychology, with a special concentration in the counseling arts. Ms. Notaro received her Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While at Pitt, Ms. Notaro received various Scholarships and Honors for concentrated studies and academic achievement. Ms. Notaro focused her law studies on income taxation, trusts and estates, divorce issues, ADR, and strategic wealth planning.

Bethany L. Notaro is also a certified professional mediator, who focuses her practice solely on family law issues. Ms. Notaro trained in Conflict Resolution and Professional Mediation at the Pittsburgh Mediation Center, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ms. Notaro has also received training in Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (“ADR”) as well as Family Law and Professional Divorce Mediation at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law.

Ms. Notaro is a member of the Family Law Sections of both the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations. She serves on the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas Board of Arbitrators. Ms. Notaro was a volunteer for the Allegheny County Indigent Divorce Program, Pittsburgh, PA before its close. Ms. Notaro is also a founding member of the Associated Attorneys and Counselors (AAAC of Allegheny County), Divorce Section. Ms. Notaro was an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in the field of legal writing and analysis from 1999 to 2001.

Ms. Notaro has authored several articles and legal compilations on various Pennsylvania Family Law and Mediation topics. She is the co-writer of the Allegheny County Bar Association Bench Bar Update 1999, and Allegheny County Bar Association Bench Bar Update 2000. Ms. Notaro was also the co-writer for the Pennsylvania Fundamentals of Family Law 2000, Chapter Four, Alimony and Equitable Distribution.

Before building her own practice, Bethany L. Notaro was an associate attorney with three different large reputable law firms that concentrated their practices in Family Law, Probate Practice, and Strategic Wealth Management. Ms. Notaro prides herself in that she has the experience of working in a large firm atmosphere, but believes in offering her clients a small firm, personalized representation experience.

Prior to her legal career, Bethany L. Notaro worked as a market researcher for National Analysts Research and Consulting in Philadelphia, PA. While at Penn, she co-authored, with Dr. Jonathan Baron and Dr. Oscar Gandy, a study of race and risk perception, later published in the world recognized Journal of Psychology. Bethany L. Notaro is married to Anthony T. Notaro of New York, New York. Bethany and Anthony are proud to call Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania their home.Susan A. Heinemann is an experienced divorce attorney who practices all over Western Pennsylvania. She is a 1996 graduate from the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her B.A. in Business and Political Science with honors. After working in business for a number of years, Ms. Heinemann attended Duquesne University's School of Law. Ms. Heinemann earned a spot on the Duquesne Law Review and published an article in 2003 on government regulation of the investment industry. Ms. Heinemann gained her first legal experience as a law clerk from 2003 to 2004. Ms. Heinemann earned her Juris Doctorate Degree in June 2004. Afterwards, she practiced in Family Law in the South Hills of Allegheny County. Ms. Heinemann is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Family Section. In addition, she has participated in the Matrimonial Inns of Court in Allegheny County. In late 2007, Ms. Heinemann joined Notaro and Associates as an Associate Attorney.
